E. Katie Holm is a Minneapolis-based fine art and commercial photographer. Originally schooled in classic
black and white darkroom processes, she now utilizes the tools of both traditional and digital
photography to create her images. Her personal work is highly influenced by history, mythology and the
Pictoralist Photographers, and her images often convey a sense of romance, mystery and spirituality.
Her work has been published in City Pages, Minnesota Monthly, Carpe Noctem, Ghastly and The Blue Divide
magazines, as well as on numerous CD covers. Clients include Silent Productions, Projekt Records,
The Royal Sarcophagus Society (Toronto), Independent Feature Project Minnesota, and
Minnesota Film & TV. Katie's photo/research documentary "Cottage Grove's Historic Atkinson Cemetery"
has been published in The Association for Gravestone Studies Quarterly and The Minnesota
Genealogist Newsletter
, and won the 2005 Historic Preservationist of the Year award from the city of
Cottage Grove, MN. Her current personal project "Women Warriors," a fictitious portrait exploration
of historic women leaders, is the recipient of a 2008 Artist Initiative Grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board.
